Our early childhood classroom welcomes children starting at age 3. It is comprised of what is typically considered the preschool and pre-Kindergarten years. Students are required to be potty independent before starting. We accept enrollment any time during the year as long as there are openings. During this three-year span, children have an innate power to teach themselves. Our early childhood classroom is set up to allow them to explore their interests and dive into their learning in an independent manner. Children are also highly physically motivated at this stage and movement is not just allowed but encouraged.
The varied age groupings allow each student the natural evolution of being the youngest and learning to ask for help from their more experienced peers to becoming the capable and respectful leaders of the class. As students prepare to transition, they may spend part of their day in the elementary classroom. This classroom typically includes 10-12 members allowing the teacher to really know their students well. After touring, a classroom visit is recommended if possible to allow the child to meet the teacher and interact briefly in the environment.
